Overview:
The View Variants feature in QNE Optimum allows users to save, retain, and manage multiple customized interface views. This enhances workflow efficiency by enabling users to quickly switch between different display settings based on their preferences.
Scenario:
Imagine a scenario where you frequently work with financial reports and require different column arrangements or filters for various tasks. Instead of manually adjusting the layout each time, you can create and save View Variants to easily switch between customized views.
Procedure
1. Open a Report
Navigate to a report, such as the General Ledger.
Click on Inquiry to access the inquiry view.
2. Create a New View Variant
Click on View Variant, then select New View Variant.
3. Define the View Variant
Enter a unique ID and a descriptive Caption for your new variant. Then adjust the view settings according to your preferences.
Click OK to save.
4. Switch Between View Variants
After creating a variant, select it from the View Variant list.
You can switch between different variants as needed.
5. Modify or Delete a View Variant
To edit a variant, click View Variant and select Edit View Variant.
To remove a variant, select Delete View Variant.
Application:
A finance officer needs different report layouts for auditing and internal review. Instead of manually reconfiguring the columns available, they can create two View Variants:
Audit View: Includes detailed transaction breakdowns and filter options.
Summary View: Shows only key financial figures for a quick overview.
With View Variants, switching between these layouts becomes seamless, improving productivity and reducing manual adjustments.
