How to Allow Modification of Transactions After Knock-off

Modified on Fri, Mar 21 at 3:44 PM

Overview:

In QNE Optimum, once a transaction has been matched (knocked off), it is locked to prevent modifications. However, there is a system setting that allows authorized users to modify transactions even after they have been knocked off. Enabling this option helps users correct errors without having to reverse transactions manually.

Scenario:

A user realizes that an incorrect amount was entered in a document that has already been knocked off. When attempting to correct the amount, the system displays a warning message stating that modifications are not allowed. To proceed with the correction, the user needs to enable the modification setting in the system.

Procedure:

  1. Access System Options

    • Log in to QNE Optimum using an Admin Account.

    • Navigate to Maintenance > System Options.

  2. Enable Modification Setting
    • In the System Options window, go to the General tab.

    • Locate the Allow Modify After Knockoff option and tick the checkbox to enable this setting.
    • Click Save to apply the changes.

  3. Proceed with Amending the Transaction
    • Open the transaction that needs to be corrected and make the necessary modifications.
    • Click Save to apply the changes. A prompt will appear with a message—select Ignore and Continue, and the transaction will be automatically saved.

Application:

By enabling this setting, users can correct transaction details without needing to perform a reversal. However, once a transaction is modified, it will no longer be linked to its previous knock-off status. Users must manually rematch the transaction if necessary.
