Modified on Fri, Mar 7 at 11:21 AM

Overview:

BIR Form 2307, known as the Certificate of Creditable Tax Withheld at Source, is a vital document in the Philippines' tax system. It serves as proof that taxes have been withheld from income payments, allowing payees to claim these amounts as tax credits. In QNE Software, accurately reflecting the payee's name on this form is essential for compliance and for the payee's tax reporting. A common issue arises when the supplier's company name is not properly entered in the BIR classification details, leading to the payee's name not appearing on the generated BIR Form 2307.

Scenario:

Imagine you're preparing to generate BIR Form 2307 for a supplier in QNE Software. After completing the necessary steps, you notice that the payee's name is missing from the form. This omission can occur if the supplier's company name has not been entered in the BIR classification details within the software.

Procedure:

To ensure the payee's name appears correctly on BIR Form 2307 in QNE Software, follow these steps:

Step 1: Access Supplier Records

  • Navigate to Supplier > Suppliers and click Search.

  • Locate and double-click the supplier whose BIR Form 2307 you intend to generate.

Step 2: Edit BIR Classification Details

  • Within the supplier’s profile, find the Classification field and click the three dots icon.

  • Ensure that the Company Name field is accurately filled with the supplier's registered name, and click OK.

  • After entering the necessary details, save the updated supplier information.

Step 3: Generate BIR Form 2307 and Verify Payee Information

  • In the previewed form, confirm that the payee's name now appears correctly in the designated field.

Application:

Consider a scenario where your company, ABC Corp., has engaged XYZ Enterprises for consultancy services. Upon generating the BIR Form 2307 for XYZ Enterprises, you notice that the payee's name is missing. By following the procedure outlined above, you access XYZ Enterprises' supplier profile in QNE Software, enter their registered company name in the BIR classification details, and save the changes. Subsequently, when you generate the BIR Form 2307 again, XYZ Enterprises' name appears correctly, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation.

By meticulously maintaining supplier information in QNE Software, particularly the BIR classification details, you can prevent issues related to missing payee names on BIR Form 2307, thereby ensuring accurate tax reporting and compliance.
