Overview:

To maintain consistency and accuracy in stock management, it is essential to restrict the editing of quantity in Stock Assembly. This ensures that the assembly process follows the predefined Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements and prevents unauthorized modifications.

Scenario:

In an accounting or inventory, users may need to restrict the ability to edit the quantity of Stock Assembly to ensure that it aligns strictly with the BOM. This restriction helps maintain proper stock control and prevents discrepancies in inventory records.

Solution:

  1. Access System Options:

    • Navigate to Maintenance > System Options > Stock Tabs in the system.

  2. Enable Restriction:
    • Locate the option “Not Allowed to Edit Quantity - Stock Assembly.”

    • Tick the checkbox to activate the restriction.

    • “Not Allowed to Edit Quantity - Stock Disassembly” for Stock Disassembly restriction

  3. Save Changes
    • Click Save to apply the restriction and prevent unauthorized quantity modifications in the Stock Assembly.

Application:

This restriction applies to businesses and organizations using stock assembly in their inventory systems. It is particularly useful for manufacturers, warehouses, and retail operations that need to maintain precise inventory control and follow standard BOM guidelines.
