Managing Dashboard Component Visibility

Modified on Tue, Jul 1 at 2:29 PM

Overview:

The QNE AI Cloud Accounting dashboard provides real-time insights into your company’s performance through various components—such as charts, numerical summaries, and rankings. These components help users track key business metrics, including sales trends, receivables, top-performing items, and more. However, not all components are relevant to every user’s daily tasks. To create a focused and efficient workspace, users can customize which dashboard components are visible.

Scenario:

A sales and account officer logs into QNE and finds several dashboard components that are not relevant to their daily tasks. To minimize visual clutter and focus on the most essential data, the officer customizes the dashboard to display only the Sales and Customer Transaction Summary components.

Procedure:

To customize which dashboard components are visible:

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard tab.

  2. Click the three-line menu icon (≡) located at the upper-right corner of the dashboard panel.

  3. A list of available dashboard components will appear (e.g., Bank Accounts, Monthly Sales, Sales Performance)

  4. Use the toggle beside each component to Show or Hide it.

  5. Click Save to update your dashboard.

  6. Your selected components will now appear under the Quick View or Business Overview sections of the dashboard.

Note: Dashboard customizations are saved per user and do not affect the visibility settings of other users.

Application:

For example, a collections officer may choose to display only the Monthly Overdue and Outstanding Receivables components. By hiding irrelevant components, the officer can:

  • Focus on the actionable data for their role
  • Remove unnecessary visual clutter
  • Speed up follow-ups and collection decisions
  • Align the dashboard view with their daily responsibilities

Customizing dashboard components helps each user build a workspace that supports their specific tasks—improving clarity, productivity, and decision-making.
