How to Perform a QNE Optimum Upgrade on the Workstation

Modified on Fri, Aug 22 at 3:06 PM

Overview:

Upgrading QNE Optimum on a workstation ensures that the application runs on the same version as the server. This prevents version mismatches, keeps your system stable, and allows users to access the latest features and compliance updates.

The upgrade process involves installing the System Upgrader on the workstation and verifying that the workstation version matches the server version.

Scenario:

For example, your company has already upgraded the QNE Optimum server to the latest release. When you try to log in from your workstation, an error message appears because your local version is outdated. To resolve this, you must upgrade the workstation so it aligns with the server version.

Procedure:

  1. Browse to the folder where you saved the System Upgrader file, then double-click the setup file (e.g., Setup_2025.1.6.2_OfficialPH).

  2. In the Setup Wizard window, click Next to continue.

  3. Select I accept the agreement, then click Next.

  4. Confirm the installation folder. If your QNE Optimum system is installed in a different directory, click Browse and select the correct folder. Click Next.

  5. Tick QNE Business Solutions only, then click Next.

  6. Continue clicking Next, then click Install.

  7. When installation is complete, click Finish.

  8. Validation step: Before logging in to any company or database, confirm with your IT/QNE Administrator that the server has already been upgraded to the same version.

Application:

  • Prevent login errors caused by version mismatches with the server.
  • Ensure smooth access to the latest QNE Optimum features.
  • Maintain compliance with updated statutory and government requirements.
  • Improve system reliability by applying bug fixes and performance updates.
  • Standardize all workstations to match the server version for seamless collaboration.
