Overview:
Adding a watermark to forms or reports in QNE Software enhances document security and branding. Watermarks can indicate confidentiality, approval status, or company branding on invoices, receipts, and financial reports.
This guide explains how to insert a watermark in QNE Software’s report designer.
Scenario:
You need to display a watermark on reports such as "DRAFT," "CONFIDENTIAL," or a company logo. This is useful for preventing unauthorized distribution or differentiating document statuses before final approval.
Procedure:
Access Report Designer:
Navigate to the Task tab. Click on Design to open the report format selection.
Select the format you want to modify and click Amend to edit it.
Add a Text Watermark:
In Report Designer, ensure the cursor is on the Margin side. Then, go to Properties > Appearance (Pencil icon), locate Watermark, and click the mini arrow.
Tick Show Behind, enter your watermark Text (e.g., "DRAFT") or select from the dropdown, then customize the font size, style, color, and text direction as needed.
Add an Image Watermark (Company Logo or Custom Design):
For a logo, click the triple dot (...) on the Image Source to import the image.
Save and Apply the Watermark
Click Save to confirm the changes.
Application:
Draft Records: Mark records with "DRAFT" to indicate pending approval.
Confidential Documents: Use "CONFIDENTIAL" for internal or restricted-use reports.
Branding: Embed a company logo watermark for official documents.
