Overview:
The Sales History Inquiry feature in QNE AI Cloud Accounting allows sales managers and accounts receivable staff to quickly access and review historical sales transactions for customers or stocks—without generating full-scale reports. Unlike standard reports that must be generated, the inquiry screen displays results instantly based on selected filters. This enables users to monitor performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions more efficiently.
Important term: Sales History Inquiry — the inquiry screen or module where you select filters (such as Customer, Date Range, or Stock) to view a list of past sales transactions.
Scenario:
As a Sales Manager evaluating a recent promotion, you want to analyze how a key stock performed over the past 12 months and which customers purchased it most frequently. Instead of exporting multiple reports or digging into individual invoices, you use the Sales History Inquiry feature to instantly view the stock’s sales history, filter by date and customer, and review the transaction list. These insights guide your follow-up strategy and help you focus on high-value customers.
Procedure:
1. In the Navigation Pane go to Inquiry > Sales History Inquiry.
2. In the Sales History Inquiry screen, set the appropriate filter fields:
- Customer Code – select a customer or leave blank to include all
- Stock – Choose one or more items.
- Date from / Date To – Specify your preferred date range (e.g., 12/01/2024 to 11/30/2025).
- Doc Type – select the document type (e.g., Sales Invoice, Cash Sales)
3. Click the Inquiry button.
4. The system returns a list of transactions, showing columns such as Doc Date, Doc Code,
Customer Name, Stock Code and Stock Description.
5. If needed, click the Export to Excel icon to save the list for sharing or further analysis.
Note: You can click on the Document Code or the View link in the Action column to open the source document and view full transaction details.
6. Once you see the full list of relevant sales transactions and confirm they align with your filter criteria, you have successfully viewed the sales history using Sales History Inquiry.
Application:
The Sales History Inquiry feature can be used in multiple practical ways:
- Monitor item sales trends — retrieve all transactions for a key product over a specified period to identify seasonal patterns or slow movers.
- Review customer’s purchase history — determine buying habits, outstanding balances, or eligibility for loyalty incentives.
- Support audit or compliance reviews — quickly access historical sales transactions without waiting for full report generation.
- Inform sales strategy — analyze which salesperson or region drove the most sales for a product, enabling targeted rewards or training.
With Sales History Inquiry, you can gain quick insights into your sales performance — without the need for complex reports.
